I live in Shropshire, England, in what's called the Welsh Marches. The area is steeped in history and dramatic landscapes. It's true inspiration!

Like many writers, I was making up stories long before I could read or write, but for many years I put off the idea of putting pen to paper. I had a career to think of! The trouble was, I was never happy in what I did. Veterinary nursing, sales representative and slimming consultant. None of them filled the gap.

Then three years ago something clicked and the stories rattling around inside my head spilled out onto the key board. I had a lot to learn...anyone who says writing a book is easy, hasn't tried it! The craft is something I'm learning all the time and continue to learn...

In the meantime, I'm a mom and married to a petrol-headed husband who likes to throw himself around in a rally car from time to time...I have pictures to prove it.

I've also surrounded myself with a self imposed menagerie consisting of Balwen Sheep, an ancient Pigmy goat, multiple hens, two Border Terriers, two cats and four Guinea Pigs.

This is Jemima. She's very special to me because she really shouldn't be alive. In fact she's got more metal inside her than fur on that podgy belly. 

Uhum. This picture is rare. Very rare. Not only is it a picture of me, and a smiling one at that, but my daughter is actually sitting still.
